Frequently Asked Questions

This is our family holiday home, we're not a business, we're people and we are here to help you enjoy Coral Bay!

When is the best time of year to visit Coral Bay?

March to September is Coral Bay’s peak season, with cooler temperatures and fantastic marine life. October to February is the quieter off-peak season, offering warmer weather, fewer crowds and great value.

Is it worth the money?

Absolutely! Whilst bookings run Saturday to Saturday for all Coral Bay Houses when you break the weekly rate down per night, a full 4-bedroom home can work out cheaper than many other accommodation options. If two families stay together, the cost becomes even better value while still giving everyone plenty of space!

Is there enough room for two families?

Coral Bay has strict occupancy limits set by the Shire to help manage the town’s visitor numbers. All homes in Coral Bay are approved for a maximum of 8 guests, making it a great option for two families travelling together or one larger family.

What exactly is included?

Your stay includes the entire fully self-contained 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, with air conditioning, a full kitchen, laundry, living areas and plenty of parking for cars and boats. Everything you need for a comfortable week in Coral Bay is right at your fingertips.

How much do we need to pay upfront?

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance, along with the $500 refundable bond, is due 4 weeks before your stay.

What happens if something goes wrong while we're there?

If something goes wrong during your stay, just get in touch with the caretakers or us. We’ll help organise the right support as quickly as possible so you can get back to enjoying your holiday!

What if our plans change and we can't make it?

We understand plans can change. If you cancel more than 6 weeks before your stay, your booking is fully refundable, giving you plenty of flexibility and peace of mind.

Can I trust booking directly through Facebook/Instagram?

Yes! You’re booking directly with us, the owners of the property, so there are no third-party booking fees or middlemen. We provide clear booking confirmation, payment details and direct contact throughout the entire process.

Why should we stay here instead of the caravan parks/resorts?

You get more space, privacy and flexibility than many caravan park or resort options. With 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, laundry and plenty of parking, it’s especially great value for families or groups sharing the cost.

Is the property pet friendly?

Pets aren’t automatically allowed, we may be able to approve them on a case by case basis. Just get in touch before booking so we can confirm whether your pet is suitable for the property.

What is there to do in Coral Bay?

Coral Bay is one of those places where you can do as much or as little as you like. Sitting right on the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef, you can walk from the beach into clear turquoise water and be exploring coral, tropical fish and marine life within minutes.

For those looking for adventure, there’s plenty to fill your week:

Snorkelling & Swimming – Explore the Ningaloo Reef straight from the beach, including the sheltered waters around Bill’s Bay and Paradise Beach.

Manta Ray Tours – Coral Bay is home to manta rays year-round, with tours offering the chance to swim alongside them.

Whale Shark Tours – During the season, head beyond the reef for the unforgettable experience of swimming with whale sharks.

Humpback Whales – Migrating humpbacks visit the Ningaloo Coast during the cooler months, with seasonal whale-watching and swimming experiences available.

Fishing – Bring your own boat, fish from permitted shore areas or book a fishing charter and spend the day exploring beyond the reef.

4WD Adventures – Explore the coastline and discover places like Five Finger Reef, Oyster Bridge, The Lagoon and Maud’s Landing.

Kayaking & Paddleboarding – The protected waters around Coral Bay are perfect for getting out on the water and exploring at your own pace.

Glass-bottom boat tours – A great family-friendly way to experience the reef without having to get in the water.

Scuba Diving – Experienced divers and first-timers can explore even more of Ningaloo with local dive operators.

Reef Shark Viewing – At certain times of the year, reef sharks can be seen gathering in the shallow waters north of Bill’s Bay.

Beach Days – Sometimes the best Coral Bay activity is no activity at all. Pack the esky, find a spot on the sand and spend the day swimming, relaxing and watching the sunset.

And that’s really what makes Coral Bay special. You don’t need to have every day planned. One day might be a whale shark tour, the next a 4WD adventure and the next simply walking down to the beach with the kids for a swim.

Whether you’re travelling for the fishing, the reef, the marine life or just a week away with the family, there’s more than enough to keep everyone entertained - while still giving you plenty of time to slow down and enjoy Coral Bay.
